The Phoenix Indian Center has touched thousands of lives over its 60 plus year existence. We are here to serve the community, providing vital social, economic, cultural and educational services, from workforce development, social services, cultural enrichment, alcohol and drug prevention, job readiness, living skills, parenting and adult education classes.

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteering has a meaningful, positive impact on our community and we’d like you to consider getting involved.

First step in the volunteer process is to complete an application that will tell us about your specific skills, talents, interests you would like to share with us. You can volunteer for a one-time event or if you have a specific skill that can help our Center or customers, let us know. 

You are also welcome to email info@phxindcenter.org and tell us about your interests and availability. We will help you engage in activity to give back to the community.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

· Office support (we always need people to help copy and collate materials)

·Prepare and co-facilitate a class with one of our instructors or serve as a guest speaker.

Class topics are:

Adult Education
-Financial Literacy
-Beginning computer skills
-Dress for  Success
-Resume Writing
-Job Interviewing

Working in a non-Native environment

Success on communicating with your teen
-Testimonials on your success here in the Valley

Other classes or topics – let us know your expertise!

·Child care - reading to children

·Organize our holiday donation special activity
-Thanksgiving food donations
-Holiday children’s toy drive / wrap and prepare gifts

·Sponsor or assist with snacks for our ongoing classes

·Sponsor costs or tickets to bingo, bowling, theater , or and other community events for us to use as incentives/drawings with our classes and agency-wide customers
